Destruction Doggie

OK, I know that Libby came from a troubled childhood (she was abandoned in a box on the side of the road in northern California), but we were hoping she would get over her issues and stop being such a menace to society. And by “society,” I mean our household. You see, Libby likes to destroy our things. She regularly chews on stuff, shreds stuff and gobbles down things. Basically, she’s very destructive. She has exploded a black ink pen all over our tan couches. She’s dug up our trees. She ate $60 in cash. She tears up the garbage (see photos below) Not too long ago, she chewed up all the legs of our chairs, chewed on cabinets and chewed on the baseboard (see photos below). She seems to do all of this if we turn our backs for only a matter of moments.

Today was another classic Libby destruction day. For one reason or another, she grabbed a DVD from Blockbuster (we do the mail rentals, like Netflix). She scratched it up, tore it up and chewed it up. Yeah, not only won’t this play, she ruined the disc, so I’m sure we’ll have to pay for it (and pay way more than it’s worth). This dog frustrates me.

  1. Wow, what a mess!!! So Nala chews up Mariah’s toys all the time, but she definitely does not reach Libby’s level of destruction :)

  2. Holy crap! Is she in the kennel when you guys are away from home?

  3. I bet BB doesn’t make you pay – I flat out lost a disc once, and no charges :)

I’m sorry she’s not adjusting well yet. It’s a big task taking on a rescue dog.

  4. Happy Birthday Brother!

  5. Assuming it is your birthday, Happy Birthday!
