This is amazing and original! My fiance and i have decided to do a dr. seuss theme. She has already began to trace out pictures from books on tracing paper to put on transperencies. I guess what i was wondering is do you think it would be possible to use pencil first for outline of characters before painting them? And my last question for now is do you remember how long this took?
Thank you! Sure, you can probably use pencil, but it can sometimes show through on the lighter colors. We used chalk so it could be easily wiped off after the paint dried. As far as how long this took – probably about a month of my brother and I painting. Probably took about a week to plan out the room and shopping for the paint colors. However, we didn’t work on this every day. We probably put in about 5-6 days, anywhere from 4-8 hours. That’s my guess : )
